Today's outfit of the day, Black & White, Take 1. Take 1, because I'm predicting this is a theme that will repeat periodically, I mean, black and white, right?
Black and white is sharp, crisp and classic for a reason. It's a go-to easy way to look put together without any great matching skills required. So, on to Vintage Outfit of the Day!
Here we have a fine weight white cotton blouse from the late 80's. This cute vintage blouse has wrap around ties that give it a peplum, oh so trendy right now! This pretty vintage blouse is a little sheer, so here I've layered it over a basic black tank top, which gives more coverage and adds interest visually.
Everyone has a basic black tank top, right? If not, go get one, right now. Seriously, you must own a basic black tank top. The one pictured is the spaghetti strap variety, personally I have several of this style and the basic "beater" style made so famous by all those hunky models in Calvin Klein adds in the 80's & 90's.
Onwards, a pair of 80's dressy vintage shorts. These vintage shorts have a fabulous bold black & white vertical stripe. Made of rayon, they have a high elastic waist and are loose enough they almost look like a skirt.
The item that adds a little funky style to a pretty classic look, a pair of vintage 60's Rockabilly shoes in black & white! Where them with ankle socks or tights, either way they add a unique spin to any outfit.
Finally, for a finishing touch, a vintage 80's elephant pendant!
