All right, the past few days I've been showing you some outfits made up entirely of vintage items, just to say, yes, it can be done! It can, and is, frequently.
Usually, though, what you'll do is mix some vintage in with your other stuff. Honestly, that's what I do almost every day. Whether it's a vintage necklace, a vintage jacket, skirt, shoes, whatever. I mix and match vintage and modern all the time and so can you. It's all about taking something fabulously vintage and making it part of your look, making it your own. Individual style is more unique when you incorporate vintage.
Here's the outfit of the day, just because I love the look! Jeans, a light color button down shirt with a basic bag and wedge heels. What makes it more than ordinary, is the coat. It's what you could call a "transitional coat," meaning, it's light weight enough to transition from spring to summer, summer to fall. A vintage floral coat on top of basics and it's instantly awesome.

Katy Perry has been known to not only incorporate vintage into her look, but to give herself over to any particular decade in full!
Zooey Deschanel is fond of dresses from the 50's and 60's, especially.
Chloe Sevigny wears vintage from every time period there is. She is a genius at incorporating vintage items into her own personal style.
Nicole Kidman wears vintage clothes occasionally, but she wears vintage jewelry often.
